Computer CORE thanks AOL for hosting a 2nd Monster Day in 2016. AOL summer interns spent the morning creating some gift packets for CORE’s incoming Loudoun and Herndon students who will start class on August 29. Thanks to all – and best wishes to the interns as they return to school.
Computer Core, Alexandria City Public Schools (ACPS), and the Alexandria Redevelopment Housing Authority (ARHA) combined efforts this April and May to offer a six-week hands-on course in computers. For two years CORE has offered a 6-month program at Gum Springs Community Center in partnership with Fairfax County giving CORE students access to a modern computer lab in that community and allowing Fairfax County to increase their lab’s impact.
