Computer CORE Workshops
Computer CORE offers various skill-building workshops that are designed for community members seeking knowledge and skills to succeed in today’s ever-changing job market, to transition into a new career, or simply to learn a new skill that will make life/work easier. Some of the classes teach beginning skills while others provide intermediate and advanced training. All classes focus on increasing hands-on experience with software, hardware and skill development.

Grammar Workshop For Job Seekers
Starts: May 6th
In the first workshop, you will practice editing your cover letter and checking grammar and spelling. In the second workshop, you will practice describing your work history. In the third workshop, you will practice your elevator speech.
Nova Math Placement Test Preparation
Starts: May 27th
Students in this class will review and practice hands-on exercises to
help them prepare to take NOVA’s math placement test.
Excel Refresher
Starts: June 24th
This course will help you improve and develop your Microsoft Excel skills.
Quickbooks
Starts: June 30th
Learn the basics of QuickBooks, the world’s most popular accounting software, in just 2 weeks!
Microsoft Word Refresher
Starts; July 15th
This course will help you develop and improve your Microsoft Word skills so that you are able to make the most of this industry standard.
Intermediate Excel
Starts: July 19th
This course will help you improve and develop your Microsoft Excel skills.
